Don't miss the 2010 Nor Cal Coaches' Convention! Saturday January 23, 2010 details here! Thanks for celebrating OUR BIRTHDAY! Our party was hosted by UHS Senior Goalie Nick Massa, and raised nearly $3,000! pictures WE DON'T NEED YOUR MONEY, WE NEED YOUR VOICE! Needs our help! Every athlete in the city knows the pitfalls (literally!) of playing sports on City fields. Many fields are gopher-holed, unlined and bumpy. As the sport of lacrosse grows, the demand on fields continues to rise and we're competing with hundreds of schools, organizations and clubs to use that field space, even in its poor condition. The goal of the next renovation at Beach Chalet Fields, is to include permanently-lined turf lacrosse fields, viewing areas and lights. Please visit the City Fields Foundation site and sign the petition to the City for approval of this next phase. We did! Click here for photos of the Crocker Amazon Re-Opening. Crocker is the site most recently renovated by City Fields Foundation. Lacrosse for LIFE was invited to participate in the festivities and has since enjoyed watching University High School lacrosse games and holding our own camp there! Check out past Sunday Streets pictures! Thanks to all who joined us Sunday, May 31, 2009, in celebrating the life of Mario St. George Boiardi (#21) at the "21 Run West 5K". Click here for photos of the event! Lacrosse for LIFE is honored to be selected as one of the recipients of this fundraiser. Having suffered the loss of our co-founder, we know the importance of remembering our loved ones. Learn more about George here. A senior lacrosse captain and exceptional student at Cornell University, George was on the path toward becoming a teacher on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota with Teach for America before he passed away in a lacrosse contest on March 17, 2004. SPECIAL THANKS TO DE LA SALLE & ST. IGNATIUS!! Our good friends at De La Salle and St. Ignatius raised nearly $6,000 at the 3rd Annual Fundraiser for Lacrosse for LIFE ("Holy War") at their annual game. Lots of gently-used gear was also donated, helping us bring lacrosse to more PE classes! Face-Off 5K Our friends in the South Bay raised $11,000 to support Lacrosse for LIFE and Native Vision! More than 200 children collected donations and ran the 5K course at the Shutterfly offices in Redwood City, earning raffle tickets for great prizes donated by STX and Talon. Doug Appleton, Firehawks' President, said this, “The Firehawks are thrilled to be able to give back to the lacrosse community and have fun doing it. We can’t think of two better or more deserving programs to assist than Lacrosse for LIFE and Native Vision, which absolutely epitomize the ideal of honoring the game of lacrosse.” Lacrosse for LIFE is excited to introduce our newest partner!
